We warmed up with some hind end awareness practice which can eventually turn into a "BACK UP" command!
We then practiced cleaning up his heel position without the influence of the leash! We practiced this in the training arena around other dogs and were able to maintain consistent focus. There were 2 instances where he looked a the other dogs and started wagging his tail but with a simple call of his name his focus was back on me! We made sure to reward for that!
